The Intelligent Perception and Control Research Center of Zhejiang University Huzhou Research Institute is based on the research of intelligent unmanned systems. Its main research objects include unmanned ships, unmanned vehicles, unmanned forklifts, etc. The research content includes multi-source sensor fusion of unmanned ships, autonomous positioning and navigation planning, collaborative control and scheduling of unmanned ships, as well as autonomous positioning, control, perception, recognition, scheduling of unmanned vehicles and unmanned forklifts. There are a large number of projects under research and implementation, providing technical support for many domestic military projects and leading enterprises. The team has mature products and technologies that meet the conditions for industrial and commercial use, with high stability and strong performance, and can maximize customer needs.

Guangzhou Industrial Intelligence Research Institute is a new research and development institution affiliated to Guangzhou. Adhering to the principle of “demand driven, innovation driven, forward-looking layout, and industrial development”, it was jointly established by Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Administrative Committee of Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2011. It was formerly named Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou. The institute focuses on the field of intelligent manufacturing and is committed to upgrading and transforming traditional industries and cultivating strategic emerging industries. It is laid out in three directions: intelligent products, intelligent services, and intelligent factories, with a focus on technological breakthroughs in industries such as electronic manufacturing, textile printing and dyeing, and shipbuilding. In 2024, it was approved to build the Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Industrial Intelligence.
